Woman's
Missionary Union ( W M U ) -
Founded in 1888, Woman's
Missionary Union is an auxiliary of the Southern Baptist Convention
that seeks to equip adults, youth, children and preschoolers with
missions education to become radically involved in the mission of
God. Headquartered in Birmingham, Ala., WMU is a nonprofit
organization that offers an array of missions resources including
conferences, ministry ideas and models, volunteer opportunities,
curriculum for age-level organizations, leadership training, books
and more.
Women of Faith
- Women of Faith is a
faith-based women’s organization encouraging women of all ages and
stages in life to grow in faith and spiritual maturity through a
relationship with Jesus Christ and an understanding of God’s love
and grace. More than 3 million women have shared the conference
experience since it began in the mid-1990s. In 2005 alone, more than
39,000 thousand women indicated decisions to follow Jesus at a Women
of Faith conference.
